Pioneering for You

A matter of conviction

The GreenTec Awards are once again taking place at IFAT 2016 in Munich. The awards are among Europe’s biggest environmental and business prizes and are given to companies, technologies and services that save energy, protect the climate and avoid pollution.

As one of this year’s gold partners, Wilo is supporting the festivities again.

In 2014 Wilo had the honour of taking part in the award ceremony at the International Congress Centre in Munich – marking the opening of the world’s largest trade fair for environmental technologies – by presenting the main prize in the “Water & Sewage” category. Wilo CEO Oliver Hermes delivered the speech for this. Speaker of the 60-member jury consisting of representatives from the economic world, the field of science, organisations and the media is Dr Markus Beukenberg, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of the Wilo Group.

"In a unique and even emotional way, the GreenTec Awards combine environmental technologies, the spirit of innovation, economy and entertainment," says Oliver Hermes, "and on this exciting evening, the event provides a very special stage for these issues that are so important in this day and age." Since the Wilo Group has taken on responsibility worldwide for the society and environment, sponsoring the GreenTec Awards was only logical for the CEO at Wilo, the specialist for highly efficient pumps and pump systems and sustainable technologies.

That is why Wilo is fully committed in its support of the GreenTec Awards again in 2016. The winning companies prove that sustainable action can be a real business model that leads to economic success now and in the future. The IFAT offers the perfect platform to show the range of products and services of the innovative leaders in environmental technology. This year, Wilo will also be presenting its product range to interested trade specialists at its new and modern stand at the fair.
